In an official statement, the James family said, “Bronny will have a final evaluation with USC staff, resume practice next week, and return to games soon after.

“The James family would like to thank the amazing medical staff, the entire USC community, and especially the many friends, family, and supporters for their love and support. Keep fighting!,” the statement continued.

In July, James passed out during a workout and was hospitalized for three days before the defect, which he has had since birth, was revealed in August.

38-year-old LeBron James is a four-time NBA champion and four-time Most Valuable Player.

He has stated in the past that he hopes to play in the NBA with Bronny for a longer period of time.

Bronny is the oldest of three siblings; his brother, Bryce Maximus, is 16 while his sister, Zhuri, is nine years old.

Following an outstanding basketball career at Los Angeles’ Sierra Canyon High School in May, , he turned down several offers from other colleges in favour of committing to USC.
