The Yobe State government has warned all the executive secretaries of agencies and 17 education secretaries of Local Education Authorities (LEA) under the state’s Ministry of Education against laxity and impunity in the performance of their assigned responsibilities.
The state’s Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr Muhammad Sani Idris, gave the warning at the state Education Council meeting with stakeholders in Damaturu, the state capital.
He said the people of Yobe expected nothing less than their utmost dedication and utilisation of their experience and energy to drive progress.
He added that education stakeholders must exert themselves, embrace patriotism, demonstrate selfless commitment, ensure fairness and justice, and avoid negligence and irresponsibility in fulfilling their public duties.
