Journalists under the auspices of Media Platform of Voice and Accountability is partnering Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to voice the demands of the citizens in Yobe State.
The resolve of the partnership, made at the maiden meeting of the platform held at MNCH2 Conference Hall in Damaturu yesterday, was to strengthen media coverage to enlighten citizens on their rights, and rally support for the voiceless.
The Chairman of the platform who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Yobe State, Comrade Yusuf A. Isah, said few journalists from print and electronic media were selected to form the coalition to fast track development journalism in the state.
Earlier, Mal. Musa Waziri, who represented PERL and a part of the CSOs, commended the platforms for coming together to fight the cause of citizens.
