Spotify Crowns Taylor Swift Most-Streamed Artist of 2023

Taylor Swift has been named Spotify’s most-streamed artist for 2023, dethroning Puerto Rican rapper and singer, Bad Bunny’s three-year reign.

Since January 1st, Swift has received over 26.1 billion plays, according to Spotify Wrapped. She was followed in the top five by Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Drake, and Mexican musician Peso Pluma.

Swift thanked everyone who had listened to her music this year on social media and celebrated the news by announcing her new song was available for streaming.

“Um OK, this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me,” she wrote.

48 hours before the release of Wrapped on November 29, Spotify teased Swift’s latest achievement by putting 21 puzzle pieces on billboards across the world.

Swift’s songs, Cruel Summer and Anti-Hero, were also among the top ten most-streamed songs worldwide.
