Police arrest 4 kidnappers in Jigawa

Men of the Jigawa State Police Command have arrested four suspects for kidnapping in Ringim LGA.

In an interview with our correspondent, the command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said the police also arrested a firearms manufacturer.

He said they recovered three locally fabricated firearms, 29 cows, four sheep, the broken butt of a rifle, one chain and a Boxer motorcycle.

Adam explained that on November 16, 2023, policemen attached to Ringim Division led by the DPO in collaboration with vigilantes acted on intelligence, arrested Bashir Muhammed (50) of Yandutse Kawari village, Ringim LGA, who specialised in manufacturing firearms.
