NG-CARES: FG to support Taraba on food security, basic services

The federal government has said if the 36 states and the FCT fully support the implementation of the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES), the programme’s aim to expand access to livelihood support and food security services in the country would be achieved.

National Coordinator of the NG-CARES Programme, Dr Abdulkarim Obaje made this known yesterday in Jalingo when he paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Keffas.

A statement by the Information and Communication Officer, NG-CARES, Suleiman Odapu, quoted Obaje as explaining that: “The NG-CARES is a Performance for Results (PforR) Programme where States and FCT get reimbursed for funding developments according to agreed protocols.
