The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons said 50 semi-detached houses would be distributed to resettle internally displaced persons in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
The Federal Commissioner of the Commission, Ahmed Tijjani Aliyu, disclosed this while distributing relief materials to 500 households that were affected by the inferno in Muna Camp, in Maiduguri.
The commissioner who visited the camp and shared the pains of the IDPs over the lives and properties lost during the fire incident assured that the government of President Bola Tinubu would do everything possible to ameliorate their suffering.
“I inspected the satellite city where we built 50 semi-detached houses. We will put the houses in good shape and distribute them to the IDPs,” he said.
