Insecurity: Why we deployed army in Kwara communities – AbdulRazaq

Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday explained why his government collaborated with the military to establish army camps in some parts of the state. 

The governor spoke when he visited the military troops involved in the Still Waters III exercise in Oro Ago, Ifelodun Local Government Area. 

The operation is spearheaded by the 22 Armoured Brigade, Sobi, to improve the security of lives and properties along the axis.

AbdulRazaq who praised the efforts of the army and the operation, said the military presence along the corridor has helped to consolidate security efforts.

The Brigade Commander of 22 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier-General AbdulRahman Babalola, who conducted the governor round the base, appreciated the government’s support for the operation. 

Daily Trust reports that the local government witnessed an increase in kidnapping activities recently, which necessitated the deployment of the army officers.
