Police arrest rustler, recover 3 cows in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has said that its operatives traced and recovered three rustled cows from the residence of Muktari Ibrahim in Sabuwar Unguwa area in Kiyawa LGA.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the command’s spokesperson, who disclosed this to our reporter, explained that the 23-year-old Ibrahim, was located following a tip off received by the authorities.

Adam said that on November 13, at about 8am, Umar Musa (20) and Idris Ismail (30) from Malamawa village in Kiyawa LGA reported at the Kiyawa Division that thieves at about 3am stole three cows from their houses valued at N1,150,000.

He said that during questioning, Ibrahim revealed that he received the stolen cows from a man named Yusuf (at large).

He added that the recovered cows had since been released on bond to their owners, stressing that the police authorities were intensifying effort to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
