Police organise quiz for secondary school students in Plateau

The Plateau State Police Command has organised a science quiz competition for secondary school students within the “C” division of Jos North LGA.

The competition, according to the command, is in accordance with the Inspector General’s policy to “catch them young”.

Declaring the event open at the Faith Academy, the state commissioner of police, Okoro Alawari, said the initiative was aimed at promoting and enhancing scientific knowledge among secondary school students within the ‘C’ division axis of Jos North LGA.

“It is also aimed at fostering an appreciation for science and technology education and bringing together budding young minds, educators and science enthusiasts who come from various secondary schools in the area to showcase their expertise in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, and general scientific knowledge.

The commissioner said the command was dedicated to empowering the youth and promoting the pursuit of knowledge.

The competition is scheduled to close at the Jama’atu Nasril Islam College, Masallacin Juma’a, Jos.
