Abductors of CBN staff and 2 others demand N10m ransom

Gunmen reported to have kidnapped Mr. Isaac Bature Gbaja, an Assistant Manager with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Lafia branch on Monday night have demanded the sum of 10 million naira.

Daily Trust also reports that abducted alongside the CBN staff were two others whose identity is still sketchy as at press time.

A close associate to the CBN staff who pleaded for anonymity told our correspondent that Mr Gbaja was abducted alongside the other victims around 8pm at his wife’s joint near MACFES Royal Suites, along Kwandere Road, Tudun Gwandara, Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Our correspondent reports that the unfortunate incident occurred barely 24 hours after a councillor in Lafia Local Government Council, Mr. Agidi Bulus Ajeh, kidnapped by unknown gunmen regained his freedom.
