The students of Laila Dogonyaro Islamic Centre, Gwarimpa, Abuja, on Sunday had their khatma (complete recitation of 60 hizbs of the Holy Quran).
Speaking at the ceremony, the founder of the centre, Justice Binta Dogonyaro, while congratulating the graduating students, prayed that they utilised the Quranic knowledge meaningfully in their lives.
She said, “They should apply what they learned to themselves, family and society in general.”
While calling on kindhearted Nigerians to support humanitarian causes, Justice Binta said, “Currently, we have about 10 sponsored students who are mostly orphans and children from indigent families. No matter how little we have, let us help these children, because we are preparing our society for a better society if we have well-educated and well-mannered children.”
