Four hamlet heads in Bauchi State have been suspended by the state Emirate Council over alleged disloyalty and misconduct.
District Head of Lere in Tafawa Balewa local government area, Alhaji Suleman Muhammad announced the suspension of the four hamlet heads in a statement.
According to the statement signed by the Assistant Information officer of Tafawa Balewa local government, Awwal Ibrahim Gital, the decision followed the report of a committee that investigated the alleged disloyalty of the suspended hamlets heads to Bauchi Emirate and the Bauchi state government.
The affected hamlet heads are; Banat Bako of Martingiji, Zakka Garba of Malima, Joseph Sale of Gurumbul and Manaba Ali, the hamlet head of Lim Sabongida.
The statement further alleged that the suspended hamlet heads were parading themselves as district heads of unauthorised areas which both Bauchi Emirate and Bauchi state government were not aware of.
It therefore called on the people of the area to continue to be loyal to the constituted authorities for the development of the area and the state at large.
According to the statement, traditional title holders of Madaki in the affected areas have been directed to oversee the affected areas pending the appointment of new hamlet heads by the Bauchi Emirate Council.
