The Esan Young Professionals Abuja (EYPA) has called on the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Freeborn Edetanlen Okhiria, to run for the governorship election in Edo come 2024.
This was contained in a statement issued by the group in Abuja yesterday and jointly signed by Charles Agbonkhehi and Sir Matthew Ibhafidon, the co-ordinator and secretary respectively.
EYPA said Okhiria, popularly referred to as Fidet, had a proven record of leadership and commitment to the betterment of the state, calling on all stakeholders in the state to give him all the support he needs to become the next governor.
The group said: “In a political climate ripe for transformative leadership, Fidet emerges as a promising candidate, equipped with the vision, integrity, and experience necessary to propel Edo State towards a brighter future.

“His unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people, coupled with his astute leadership skills, renders him an ideal contender for the position of governor of Edo State in 2024.

EYPA said Okhiria’s commitment to hard work and discipline had seen many lofty projects completed since his assumption of office as the Managing Director of the previously near-moribund NRC.
