An energy firm, EnerixOne, said it has partnered that partnering Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) to provide 300 megawatts to industrial clusters in Ogun State.
Managing Director of EnerixOne, Bayo Adesina, disclosed this in a statement, saying the partnership recently underscores EnerixOne committed support to Federal Government to resolve problem of epileptic power supply in the country.
He said it was in pursuit of the vision of EnerixOne to strengthen the economy of the country through provision of reliable and regular electricity supply that it sealed a partnership with Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) during the roundtable business meeting held at Agbara in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The meeting was said to have had in attendance the Vice President Kashim Shettima, Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun as well as the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat and representatives of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company Plc (EKEDC) and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC).
Adesina said that this partnership which kicks of “The Light Up Nigeria Programme” involves distributing 300 megawatts of electricity to industrial clusters in Sango, Ota, Sagamu, Ifo and Mowe.
Speaking at the event Adesina said “This is a historic moment for our industry, one where the economics align for everyone. Our power woes will soon be a thing of the past. The passionate commitment of all stakeholders has helped this project move forward at an unprecedented pace. As a business, we understand our role, and we have invested in the success of this programme.
“For EnerixOne, this partnership is one of many to come as we embark on a mission to bridge the power deficit gap in the Nigerian power sector.
“This project is tagged ‘The Light Up Nigeria Programme’. This event marked the official kickoff of the project that will revolutionize the power sector in Nigeria. This project involves the distribution of about 300 MW of electricity to businesses within industry clusters in Sagamu, Sango, Ota, Ifo, and Mowe. Before now, these clusters relied on a limited and unreliable power supply.
