There is a raging fear among women in Minna, Niger State, over the rumour of breast theft in parts of the city.
City & Crime gathered that one of such cases was of a female student of a secondary school in Minna, whose breasts allegedly disappeared after she greeted an old woman on her way home from school.
The situation, residents told City & Crime, led to commotion between the police and youths of her area when the police went to pick the woman after a complaint was lodged by the girl’s family but youths from the woman’s area resisted her arrest.
Though it was said that the girl’s breasts eventually returned, a woman who didn’t want her name mentioned, told our reporter that, “When I heard of the incident, I held my breasts. I prayed it doesn’t happen to me In sha Allah. We are in a state of fear now as breasts are the pride of every woman.”

While some people held a contrary opinion of the possibility of stealing breasts, some said it was real.
Mallam Adamu Aliyu said, “It is possible to steal breasts because there’s nothing human beings are not capable of nowadays. But May Allah save us from evil people among us.”
The spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, recently dispelled the rumour of theft of human parts and asked people to go about their normal businesses without fear.
