The Medcaid Cancer Foundation has donated N10 million to cancer patients at the National Hospital, Abuja.
Speaking while making the donation Sunday, the Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, said it was geared towards supporting the patients’ treatment and giving them hope, noting that the money would be shared with selected adults and paediatric cancer patients depending on their needs and recommended treatment.
She applauded the hospital’s management for its services, noting that there were three radiotherapy machines for cancer treatment at the hospital.
Dr Zainab also toured the paediatric and adult oncology wards, where she had heart-to-heart conversations and words of encouragement with some of the cancer patients and their families.
