A high court sitting in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has ordered the newly installed Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, to vacate the stool, citing illegality of the selection process.
The judgement was delivered on Wednesday.

Recall that the court sitting in Ogbomoso, had reserved judgment till October 25 over a lawsuit challenging the selection of Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye as the Soun of Ogbomosho.
The Oyo State Government had announced Olaoye as the new Soun and made him king on September 8, 2023.
