The Pen Resource University (PRU), Gombe, has announced a salary increment for all categories of staff to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.
The increment ranges from 25 per cent to 35 per cent.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the council, Dr Sani Jauro disclosed this during the second matriculation ceremony of 334 students admitted by the university.
He said the gesture was one of the initiatives by the university to show concern about the welfare of its staff and management in the face of the current economic hardships in the country.
