FCT FA Chair, Mohammed, receives Award of Excellence in Paris

The Chairman of the FCT Football Association (FCT FA), Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed, has been honoured with the Award of Excellence by organisers of the Nigeria-France award and gala on Monday, October 23 in Paris, France.

The organising committee in a letter of invitation to the recipient said the award was in recognition of his enormous contributions to football development in Nigeria.

“As a sport administrator and investor, we appreciate your commitment to the development of sport in Nigeria where you have invested so much.

“In this regard, the organisers of the Nigeria – France Sports award and Gala with the support of the Nigerian embassy Paris, will like to present the prestigious Award Of Excellence For Football Development to you,” the statement reads.

Nigeria – France Sports award and gala is organised by OJB Media Network, a registered company in Paris, France with strategic partners like Nigeria Embassy, Paris and UNESCO.

Mohammed who spoke exclusively to Daily Trust from Paris after the award presentation said he was motivated to do more for Nigerian football and sports in general.

“I am delighted for the organisers to find me worthy in recognition for my humble efforts and contributions towards uplifting Nigerian Football. 

“The award means a lot because it’s a testament that if you work hard and sacrifice, the reward will come.

“This will also motivate others to aspire to do such. In an environment like ours we need to give as many people hope and opportunity as possible,” said the FCT FA Chairman.
