A man in the early hours of Tuesday reportedly stabbed his wife to death in Korinya communiity of Konshisha Local Government Area in Benue State.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident, said the details were still sketchy because she was waiting for the Divisional Police Officer of Konshisha to send in the report.
Anene however said she was told that the man had a disagreement with his wife and in the process used something like a knife to stab her.
She said the impact of the object which the man used to stabbed the wife caused her death.

Meanwhile, a local identified the deceased woman as Mngusunun and the husband as Bem Matthew Korinya.
The local said that the incident caused a stir in the rural community.
