New signings, Amodu Liman and Danbani Alao scored a goal each in the 15th and 25th minute of the first half to hand Lobi Stars their second home win of the season.

At the Pantami Stadium, Gombe United laboured to a slim 1-0 win over Rivers United. After a barren first half, Ahmed Jimoh broke the deadlock in the 51st minute to hand the ‘Desert Scorpions’ the maximum points.
Elsewhere, Akwa United’s winless run continued after they were forced to a 0-0 draw at home by 3SC, Kano Pillars piped Rivers United 1-0 while the south-western derby between Remo Stars and debutants Sporting FC Lagos ended 2-1 in favour of the former.
