Man whose collapsed fence killed 2 siblings remanded

An Ebute Metta magistrates’ court in Lagos State has ordered the remand of a 66-year-old man, Adeshina Adebayo, over the death of two siblings, Atolagbe Abdulwahab (10) and Roheed Atolagbe (seven), in the Ikorodu area of the state.

The accused was said to be the owner of a property on Ajao Street in Isawo, Agric area of Ikorodu, which fence collapsed and killed the victims.

The prosecutor told the court that the victims were playing on the other side of the fence when the incident occurred.

The Magistrate, Mrs O M Ajayi, ordered Adebayo’s remand pending the outcome of advice from the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP).
