Lobi Stars’ Agagbe to project qualities of indigenous coaches

The newly appointed Head Coach of Lobi Stars, Eugene Agagbe, has said his success will help build more trust and confidence in other Benue State football coaches.

The former BCC Lions and Julius Berger striker was unveiled on Monday in Makurdi as replacement for Coach Abubakar Bala, who left his position unceremoniously in September.

Agagbe who is having his second stint as coach of Lobi Stars has successfully prosecuted two matches in the current NPFL season recording one away draw and a home win which was enough to land him the job.

While unveiling the coach, the Vice-Chairman and CEO of Lobi Stars, Dominic Iorfa, said following the results the Agagbe led technical crew has gotten so far, he has confidence in his ability to deliver.

Responding, the former Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars player thanked the vice-chairman for the opportunity given to him to serve.

 “I am grateful to God and the management of Lobi Stars, particularly the vice-chairman and CEO Dominic Iorfa, for finding me worthy of this assignment.

“I see this as an opportunity to help the club achieve positive results so I will give my all to justify this confidence in me.

“It is also a chance for me to show to everyone that Benue State is blessed with quality coaches. My success will open the door for other coaches in the state,” the state.

Agagbe’s first match as a substantive coach of Lobi Stars will be the week three fixture with Katsina United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
