Bayelsa gov’ship: No crack in our camp – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said there is no crack in its camp ahead of the November governorship election in Bayelsa State, and that all stakeholders in the state are on the same page to deliver the party’s candidate, Timipre Sylva in the election.

The Secretary of Media and Publicity Committee, Bayelsa National Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Chief Yekini Nabena in a statement on Monday in Abuja, asked Nigerians to disregard claims that the Minister of State for Petroleum, Heineken Lokpobiri, and the 2019 governorship candidate of the APC in the state, David Lyon were working for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Douye Diri.

Nabena, a former deputy national publicity secretary of the APC described as a ruse and distraction, the claim that there was a crack in the state chapter of the party ahead of the polls.

“We will not be distracted because we are fully aware how desperate the incumbent governor, Douye Diri has become, thereby employing all manners of tactics including propaganda and lies just to cause confusion. But sadly for the PDP, it is just too late because Bayelsans have made up their minds to sack the under-developer of the oil-rich state.

“We urge all our party members, supporters and Bayelsans in general to remain calm, expectant of landslide victory and disregard lies suggesting cracks in our camp.”
