A clash between two rival thug groups reportedly led to the killing of two persons, Abbas Abbas and Ojiji Shagari at Anyigba in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Daily Trust gathered that the incident happened on Saturday around 2pm in Anyigba.
Locals reported that hoodlums engaged themselves in a gun duel, causing people to scamper for safety in different directions.
“There was sporadic shooting of guns in Anyigba on Saturday afternoon. Two people have just been confirmed dead, Ojiji Shagari and Abbas Abbas.

“The thugs that died were killed by their own members over rivalry or sharing formula tussles, said Usman Ayegba, a resident of Anyigba.
Another resident, James Odiba, said, “Staccato of gunshots hit the town around 1:45pm on Saturday around the unity roundabout in Anyigba.
“Before the security men could come to the scene, two of the hoodlums laid down in their own pool of blood, clinically dead.”
The locals hinted further that the security agents came to the scene of the incident around 2:30pm trailed the thuggery group and allegedly arrested five of them, including pump action guns and other lethal weapons.
When contacted over the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP William Aya, in a terse message simply replied, “Noted.”
