Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has assured over 200 youth involved in innovative ideas and problem-solving of his government’s full support and commitment in uplifting the course of innovation, science and technology.
The governor, who was represented by the Commissioner, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Muhammad Tajo Othman, made this known at the official opening of the 2023 NASA Space Apps Challenge held in Kano.
He said the state was committed to providing an enabling environment for the development of science and technology in the state and fully aligned with NASA’s vision.
“Seize this moment to dream without limits, to think beyond the conventional, and to push the boundaries of what you believe is possible. The challenges that lay before you may seem formidable, but remember that each challenge is an opportunity for growth and innovation.

Earlier declaring the challenge open, the Local Lead, Kano NASA Space Apps Challenge, Abdul Nuhu Gumel, said the event brings together the brightest minds, the boldest innovators and the most passionate problem solvers from the state into an incredible journey of exploration, innovation and limitless possibilities.
He therefore charged them to begin the remarkable journey of exploring the uncharted territories of innovation and write the next chapter in the state’s legacy of creativity and problem solving.
