Two kidnapped victims have been rescued following a gun battle between hunters and kidnappers in the Chida Forest in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
The leader of the hunters, Adamu Usman, disclosed this while handing over the rescued victims to the Chairman of Kuje, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, at the council’s secretariat on Tuesday.
One of the rescued victims, Adamu Ibrahim Takwa, said he was kidnapped on the Takwa-Kwaku road while returning from the market on Sunday.
He said the kidnappers took him and his colleague through mountains and streams and arrived at their hideout in Chida Forest.

The Kuje Chairman, Sabo, said his administration would continue to do its best to tackle cases of kidnapping in the council.
While commending the hunters for their effort in rescuing the victims.
Sabo, who in turn handed over the victims to their families, urged them to be security conscious and ensure they reported strange faces in their community to security agents.
City & Crime gathered that the kidnappers earlier demanded a N10m ransom.
