No fewer than 60 houses and several property worth millions of naira were destroyed in Nasarawa State following a downpour in two LGAs.
The Director General (DG) of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Zachary Allumaga, who disclosed this to journalists in Lafia, said the flood which followed the downpour in Lafia and Toto LGAs left several residents homeless and valuables destroyed.

The DG explained that the flood in Lafia affected the students’ residential area (off campus) around the Federal University of Lafia and destroyed property such as computers, mattresses, books, food items and other valuables.
