Nigeria is not as bad as painted – NOA

The Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr Garba Abari has urged Nigerians to scrutinize information placed on social media, stressing that the country is not ‘as bad as being portrayed’. 

Abari stated in a statement in Abuja, while condemning the upsurge of hate speeches and divisive comments, which tend to divide Nigerians along ethnic and religious affiliations adding that “our diversity as a nation is always a strength”.

He said the current tensions and challenges in the country should make citizens united and stronger for a new Nigeria in accordance with the vision of the heroes past.

 Abari said “The time to change is now and the time to unite and love one another is now. Nigerians should advocate love, unity, peaceful co-existence and patriotism in contributing to the development of the nation”.
