Private organ theft: Police warn against false alarm

The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, has warned the residents of Lokoja and its environs to desist from spreading false information on the disappearance of male private organs, that is currently trending in Lokoja.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday by the state police command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya.

He stated that some of the allegations of private organ theft have been investigated by the police and medics turned out to be false.

“The police are planning stricter measures to curtail false reports in the state. Anyone caught giving false information will be prosecuted according to the law,” he said.

The police commissioner also warned members of the public to desist from taking laws into their hands by carrying out jungle justice.
