NTA petitions police over abduction of staff in Benue

The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) has petitioned the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Benue State over the abduction of one of its staff, Thomas Tikyaa, by gunmen on the Otukpo-Ugbokolo-Enugu highway in the state.

Tikyaa, a chief accountant with NTA, among other passengers, was said to be returning to Makurdi from Onitsha in Anambra State on Sunday when the Benue Links bus he was travelling in was hijacked by gunmen.

In the letter of complaint marked: NTA/,KD/ADMI/NPF/26/VOL. 11/492, dated September 18, the NTA Zonal Director, Pam Dung Nyam, urged the police to intervene promptly.
