Senator Emmanuel Udende who represents Benue North East senatorial district at the National Assembly on Saturday assured his constituents that his election would be consolidated at the Court of Appeal.
Udende gave the assurance while reacting to Friday’s judgment of the National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Makurdi, which upturned his victory of the February 25, 2023 elections.
The senator drew the attention of his constituents to the minority judgment which upheld his election as he noted that the courts of appeal will validate the judicial pronouncement of the judge.
He said his legal team has concluded preparations to file an appeal and urged for calm for the legal process to run its democratic course.
