The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has written to the House of Assembly announcing his resumption to office after three months of medical trip abroad.
Speaker of the assembly, Olamide Oladiji, who confirmed receipt of the letter in a statement issued to journalists Friday, said it was in line with Section 190 (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
The statement reads in part: “According to the letter which was received today during the parliamentary meeting of the House, the Governor resumed duty today, Friday, 8th September 2023.”
Recall that on June 7, Mr Akeredolu had announced that he was embarking on a 21-day medical trip in Germany.
