The Nigerian Postal Service has unveiled a N255 commemorative stamp to mark the Pan African Postal Union Tower launch in Arusha, Tanzania.
The Postmaster General (PMG) of the federation and CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Sunday Adepopu, disclosed this during the unveiling ceremony at the weekend in Abuja.
Adepopu, represented by NIPOST Director of Planning and Development, Dr Thomas Gaja, explained that globally, postage stamps are regarded as one of the most effective means to supply information about a country’s history.

“This initiative was embarked upon to support the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) with funds to complete its 17-storey tower project and also philately stamps to earn revenue for the organization.
