Caught in the act: Plumber to sweep court premises for 3 hours

A plumber, Samuel Lucky (29) of Tungan Maje village in Federal Capital Territory has been condemned to a three-hour community service within the court premises.

He had earlier pleaded guilty to an offence of breaking into his work place and damaged some cables 

Delivering the judgement, the judge, Saleh Ramat Hala of Area Court, Kado ordered the convict to sweep the court premises for three hours.

Earlier, the prosecution told the court that the defendant maliciously damaged A.C cables by cutting them into pieces, after he burgled into an operation room of his place of work at Jabi Daki Biyu.

 He said the defendant also confessed to have committed a similar crime earlier this month and sold the items to a scavenger.
