The Delta State Government has commended the people of Umutu community in Ukwuani LGA for taking up the responsibility of training the children of members of the community’s vigilantes who were killed while checking the menace of alleged herdsmen.
City & Crime reports that the Deputy Governor of the state, Sir Monday Onyeme, gave the commendation when the people of Umutu paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Asaba.

He said, “I want to appreciate the Umutu people for the vision of not abandoning the families of the bereaved vigilante members and for the scholarship scheme for their children”
