The police in Jigawa State have arrested a robbery suspect and recovered a motorcycle and handset.
In a statement, the command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said, “On 8/7/2023 at about 2030hrs, one Abdullahi Adamu Gemu ‘m’ aged 40yrs of Bariki village Birnin Kudu LGA reported at the B/Kudu Division that on 7/07/2023 at about 2030hrs, while conveying passengers on his red Bajaj motorcycle without registration number from B/kudu to Bangwalde village, hoodlums attacked and beat him with sticks and made away with his handset and the motorcycle.”

Adam said that on Friday, July 29, detectives attached to B/kudu Division arrested one Isyaku Ahmadu Usman of Bariki village in possession of the robbed motorcycle and that he confessed to the crime during investigation.
