Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two persons for allegedly stealing a vehicle belonging to the Ondo State Government.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Bright Edafe, disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday in Asaba.
He said the Toyota Hilux vehicle with Registration Number 231 A10, which had since been recovered, is attached to Ministry of Lands and Infrastructure, and that it was stolen from where it was parked at Owo town in Ondo State.
The command’s image maker gave the names of the suspects as Tochukwu Nnamani (22) and Chukwuma Unue (38) all from Rivers State. Edafe added that the suspects claimed that the vehicle was given to them by one Efe in Ughelli to be delivered to one Chief Ojukwu at Mbaima town in River State.

He said operatives of the CP-Decoy squad trailed the stolen vehicle to Patani, where it was sighted and flagged down.
He said the case would be transferred to Ondo State Police Command for prosecution.
The Public Relations Officer also disclosed that seven suspects were arrested over robbery and kidnapping in the state.
He said the arrest of one Ojokor Jeffrey (22) suspected to be the leader of the syndicate led to the arrest of other six suspects.
