A Civil Society group, Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health at Scale (PACFaH@Scale), has called on Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani to release N250 million for procurement of Family Planning commodities to reduce stockouts.
The group also asked the governor to prioritize the completion of the State Primary Health Care Board office complex.
This move, they say, is crucial to achieving 100% implementation of the Primary Health Care Under One Roof (PHCUOR) initiative.
Led by Alhaji Mustapha Jumare, the group conveyed this message during a Press Conference in Kaduna where they outlined their agenda for the new administration.

They also urged the Governor to develop urgent strategies for the sustainability of the three-year Primary Health Care Memorandum of Understanding (PHC-MoU) that the State signed with development partners, set to end this year, 2023.
PACFaH@Scale commended the Nasir el-Rufai-led government for fulfilling 8 out of the 9 pillars of the PHCUOR implementation, bringing it to an impressive 98% completion. The remaining pillar focuses on the upgrading and renovation of the board’s office complex, which, upon completion, will become one of the finest in the country.
He further urged the government to improve supportive supervision during routine immunization sessions and upgrade the cold chain system.
The CSO group also appreciated the state for maintaining the 15% health budget allocation from the state annual budget, with a priority allocation to PHC as per the Abuja declaration.
However, they highlighted the perennial issue of poor cash backing for health sector funding, urging the government to address this challenge.
