The Nigerian Geological Survey Agency has stated that the production of geological mapping detailing the mineral resources in the country is attracting local and foreign investors.
Speaking during a press conference Wednesday in Abuja, the director general of the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, Dr. Abdulrasaq Garba, said the map provides information on resources located in each part of the country, thus, making it easier for investors to extract the resources and generate revenue for the government.
He said the federal government in partnership with the World Bank has been able to partition the country into cells with 16 cells fully researched.
He said due to the heavy financial commitment needed to work in each, there are still to be done as the country has a total of 44 cells.
