Ebi Diriyal, Sikpa, others win P/Harcourt polo elections

Former Vice President of Port Harcourt Polo Club, Ebi Diriyal has been elected to lead the new management committee of the foremost club as the new President.

Ebi was elected at the recently concluded polls that took place recently to elect new officers who would run the affairs of the polo club after the expiration of the Chukwu Dimkpa-led Management Committee.

“In accepting this charge of leading the club, I once again pledge to rededicate myself to the service of polo,” Diriyal declared moments after he was given the mandate as the new man on the job. “This is a special game that fosters unity, confidence, team spirit and discipline, “ he added in chat.

Polo is a great sport that can achieve anything it wants if we all set our minds to it. I therefore urge everyone to join hands with the new management committee and promote the noble game and reposition Nigerian polo globally.” He added in his acceptance remarks.

Polo Royals report that others who were elected in the new management committee are Henry Agbodjan who emerged the new Vice President, Fineman Olungwe as the Secretary, Victor Ojum as Treasurer, and one of the popular Port Harcourt based Patron, David Sikpa who would serve as the Pony Welfare Officer.

According to the result made available to Polo Royals, Sotonye Diamond was voted the new Social member, while Dave Agwalla is the Security member of the club. The only female member of the new management committee is Nnene Anochie who is the Membership Secretary of the club; Austin Onimisi is House & Grounds member, just as Isaac Oguchi completes the list as Bar & Kitchen member of the club.
