The Kwara State Police Command said it has arrested three boys for allegedly raising false alarms that their private parts were stolen.

Some of the suspects, who the police didn’t mention their names, were arrested around Tanke area on Wednesday.

In a statement yesterday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi (SP), said “Three such incidents were recorded in the Oke Ogun area of Tanke between Monday and Wednesday.

“In the three alarms raised, the three boys were taken to the hospital, tested, and were all found to have their private organs in perfect condition.”

Okasanmi added that “suspects were almost lynched but for the quick intervention of policemen and people around them.”

He said the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, warned residents to stop such fake private organ theft alarms or risk arrest and prosecution.

He advised members of the public to be wary of the antics of these fake alarmists and report any such incident to the police.

He further reminded the people that jungle justice is punishable by law and should be avoided.
