The Benue State governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has flagged off the sales of fertiliser pegged at a subsidised rate of N12,500 for interested farmers.
Alia warned that he will not accept the diversion of government subsidised fertilisers for personal use by anyone, irrespective of their position in government.
The governor, while handing the warning in Makurdi during the flag-off of the 2023 Fertiliser Sales and Distribution, noted that the exercise was part of his administration’s efforts at cushioning the effects of the harsh economic challenges being experienced by the people of the state and Nigeria at large.
