The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano has described reports that it has opened the portal for admission seekers into the institution as fake news.
The commandant of the academy, AIG Sadiq Abubakar, told journalists on Tuesday that some fraudsters had been going about selling fake admission and registration forms.
He advised admission seekers to be wary of fraudsters spreading false information, stressing that the academy would formally communicate in no distant time the official commencement of the admission process.
The commandant also revealed that as part of the institution’s efforts towards self-sufficiency, it would be introducing new programmes, including diploma, certificate and post-graduate courses to generate revenue.

He said the academy would soon come up with its entrepreneurship programme through which it would be producing uniforms for its staff and students.
He said the programme would also enable the school to establish its own bakery and water factory so as to produce bread and water for its academic community.
