The Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has blamed Hajj officials for poor arrangements and conduct of this year’s exercise.
He stated this at his palace in Zaria shortly after his arrival from Saudi Arabia, where he served as the Amirul Hajj of Kaduna State pilgrims.
The monarch observed that the officials who were supposed to ensure the welfare of pilgrims failed in their homework, thereby subjecting the pilgrims to untold hardship while in the holy land.
He expressed displeasure with the overall arrangements made by the Hajj officials, stressing that they had not helped the pilgrims in any way.

“There is a poor arrangement on the part of the officials, virtually in all aspects of the exercise. You can imagine that I had to split my entourage into three during our return journey to be able to arrive home.
“This is because I am even the Amirul Hajj. What about ordinary pilgrims at the mercy of these officials?” The emir queried
Bamalli blamed both the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and state pilgrims welfare agencies for inadequate arrangements for ensuring the well-being of Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
