The police in the FCT have arrested four suspected cult members for allegedly stabbing a man, Labaran Usman, at the Jabi Motor Park in Abuja.
The Commissioner of Police (CP), Haruna Garba, while parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters over the weekend, gave the names of the suspects as Mubarak Ibrahim, Mohammed Adamu, Aliyu Ibrahim and Ibrahim Tsoho Musa.
Mr Garba said that the suspects were arrested by operatives of the Utako Division following a distress call that someone was stabbed by a group of young men suspected to be cultists, noting that exhibits recovered from them included two daggers, a rifle and army uniform.
CP Garba, who noted that following the arrest of one of the suspects, Ibrahim Tsoho Musa, from Jos North LGA, Plateau State, said, “While a search was conducted on his residence at Angwan Fulani, Bwari, FCT, at about 1800hrs, one locally fabricated rifle loaded with six rounds of ammunition, one military camouflage trousers and two daggers were recovered from him.

“While the injured victim, Labaran Usman, who is from Kaduna State, has been taken to the hospital for medical attention. We have confirmed that he is recuperating at the hospital.”
The CP, while commending his men, tasked them to increase the tempo and aggressively flush out miscreants across the territory, even as he enjoined residents to maintain vigilance and report suspicious activities to the police through the command’s emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.
