Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State has approved the dissolution of local government caretaker committees.
The dissolution was contained in a statement signed by his Chief of Staff, Architect Abdu Sule Katagum.
According to the statement, Governor Abubakar directed Heads of Administration in the local governments to oversee the affairs of the councils.
Governor Abubakar appreciated the caretaker chairmen and their council members for what he called their selfless service.
The statement added that the dissolution followed the expiration of the chairmen’s tenure in office.
The caretaker chairmen were inaugurated by Governor Abubakar over a year ago.
