Benue man arrested for stealing mattresses

The Benue State Community Volunteer Guards (BSCVG) have arrested one Paul Terhemba in connection with two stolen mattresses.

Terhemba (20), a resident of Wurukum suburb of Makurdi, allegedly stole the mattresses from his in-law in Pila village, near the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.

He was paraded alongside the buyer suspect, Usman Abubarkar, of Wadata area before being handed over to the police.

The suspect admitted committing the offence and pleaded for pardon with the promise that he would desist from such an act henceforth.

This was disclosed by the BSCVG Patrol and Guard Officer in Makurdi, Terzungwe Saaswen, who led the team that arrest them.
