The House of Representatives Member for Abuja South, Abdulrahman Ajiya, has promised to be fair and just in treating every member of his constituency irrespective of tribe, ethnic, religious or party affiliation.
The lawmaker said he would advocate for the most vulnerable among his constituents, champion their rights and create a society that valued compassion and empathy.
Ajiya stated this during a reception organised for him on Saturday after his inauguration in Abuja.
He said the task ahead of him was enormous, hence that achieving such stride must be through collective effort of stakeholders.
Also speaking, the APC senatorial candidate in the FCT during the February, 25, general election, Zakari Angulu Dobi, stressed the need to come together irrespective of party, tribe, ethnic and religious affiliation to support the lawmaker for the betterment of the people of Abuja South and the FCT at large.
City & Crime reports that among APC chieftains that attended the event include Hon Zaphaniya Jisalo, Hon Abdullahi Adamu Candido and Hajiya Farida Odangi.
